Bengaluru News: Nearly 9,000 people across the country have mucormycosis or Black fungus Union Minister of State for the issue DV Sadananda Gowda Said Saturday. According to a list shared by Sadananda Gowda, Karnataka ranks sixth in the list of states where the black fungus is most prevalent. Gujarat is the worst affected state with 2,281 cases. So 5,800 bottles of vaccine have been given to Gujarat. There are about 2,000 cases in Maharashtra where 5,090 bottles have been distributed.
910 in Andhra Pradesh, 700 in Rajasthan, and 720 cases of black fungus in Madhya Pradesh. An estimated 500 cases have been reported in Karnataka and 1270 bottles of medicine are being supplied to the state, DVS said
There are 350 cases in Telangana, 250 in Haryana, 197 in Delhi, and 112 in Uttar Pradesh.
