Bengaluru News: The country has witnessed the highest number of Covid cases in the last month. For the first time since April 14, there were less than two lakh new cases of corruption in the country.
In the last 24 hours, there were 1,96,427 new cases of Covid. On April 14, 1,84,372 people were infected. Since then, more than two lakh cases have been reported daily. 3,26,850 have recovered from the disease. This reduced the number of active cases to 25,86,782. This accounts for 9.60% of total infections. Similarly, the country’s recovery rate has reached 89.26 percent.
There has been no decrease in Covid-related deaths in the country. 3,511 people were infected in a single day. A total of 3,07,231 people lost their lives to Covid. The total number of Covid cases in the country reached 2,40,54,861. The mortality rate is 1.14%. More than 50 thousand people have died in the country in the past 13 days.
There were 22,122 new cases and 592 deaths reported in Maharashtra on Monday. The total number of cases was 50.02 lakh and the death toll was 89,212. Karnataka, one of the most affected states in Maharashtra, reported 25,311 cases on Monday. A total of 5,701 cases were reported in the capital, Bangalore.
