- Implementation of Direct Registration and Schedule for Vaccination in CoWin App at Vaccine Center for 18-44-Year-Olds
- Published by the Ministry of Health
- It is clear from the ministry that this system is only enabled in government Covid centers
Bengaluru News: Alive (on-site) registration and vaccination schedule have been implemented at CoWinApp Center in the vaccine center to enable 18 to 44-year-olds to be vaccinated against coronavirus, the Union Health Ministry said. The ministry has made it clear that this system is only enabled in government Covid centers.
Private vaccine centers need to publish their vaccine schedules separately with online time slots. The State and Union Territory Governments should decide on the on-site registration and appointment of 18-44-year-olds based on local circumstances to prevent the wastage of the vaccine and make it available to eligible beneficiaries, the ministry said.

On May 1, the Center decided to vaccinate people between the ages of 18 and 44 to accelerate the vaccine campaign in some states. But it was cut in half due to the shortage of the CoVishield and CoVaxin vaccines. Previously only online appointments were offered to avoid grouping at vaccine centers. The opinion of the State and Union Territories has been collected and now the registration is on the spot.
Notice to States
The Ministry of Health has instructed the State and Union Territories to give a clear indication to all District Immunization Authorities to strictly follow the Government of the respective State and Union Territories on the scope and manner of using the On-Site Registration and Vaccine Timing feature for beneficiaries aged 18 to 44 years. He also urged states to warn 18-44-year-olds to be cautious about on-site registration and deadlines.
