Bangalore: An FIR has been lodged at the Ramamurinagar station against the administration of New Popular Hospital in Kasturinagar for not giving 50 percent beds to the government as per the directive and giving false information about the bed.
Senior IAS officer Manivannan and ADGP Alok Kumar visited the hospital on Friday amid allegations of not providing 50 percent bed. Went inside the PPE kit and checked the documents. There were 42 beds in the hospital but there were 36 beds in the computer. The information about the six-bed was concealed. Out of a total of 42 beds, 50 percent of the 21 beds had to be provided to BBMP.
However, only four patients were given beds. The canteen is located on the fourth floor, ”said Gangadhar Mallappa, CEO of the hospital. Upon inspection, there were four bedrooms. Against this backdrop, a case has been filed against the hospital CEO and the governing body. The Nodal Officer has issued a notice that private patients will not be allowed to enroll until they are admitted to the BBMP.
