Bhopal: A male nurse on a woman who was undergoing treatment due to Covid Rape The tragic incident in which she died within 24 hours of being killed has come to light in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place at a government hospital in Bhopal, a month after the arrest of the suspect.
On April 6th Bhopal The 43-year-old woman, who was admitted to Memorial Hospital and Research Center, was informed of the incident before she died. The accused was identified in a statement to the doctor, police said.
But her condition of being raped has worsened. Immediately transferred to the ventilator. Police say she died the same day evening.
A case has been registered at Nishatpur police station. 40-year-old Santosh Ahirwar was arrested. He is being held in the Bhopal Central Prison and the trial is pending.
The victim did not disclose the incident before she died, requesting that her identity be disclosed and that no one is informed of the incident. Senior IGP Irshad Wali said the information was not shared with anyone other than the investigating team.
The accused had previously sexually abused a 24-year-old nurse and was suspended for drunkenness while on duty, sources said.
Covid, a rape victim, was a survivor of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy. The disaster victims’ agency, which has written to the authorities, sparked concern about the plight of the Covid wards in the hospital.
