NEW DELHI: A 12-member national task force to facilitate the provision and distribution of medical oxygen throughout the country in a scientific, rational, and fair manner Supreme Court Has created. This Taskforce Covid-19 will also suggest measures to ensure adequate availability of vaccines for treatment.
The bench, comprising justices DY Chandrachud and MR Shah, has spoken personally with each member of the task force. The task force will begin work within a week.
The rationale for the creation of a nationwide task force to respond to the epidemic is based on scientific and specialized internal knowledge. The court said in its final order that the country’s top veterans could join the workforce and become resource persons.
The task force will hold meetings and devise scientific strategies to deal with this crisis. The workforce reports are then submitted to the courts and the central government.
Former vice-chancellor of West Bengal Health Sciences University Dr. Bhabatosh Biswas, Managing Director and Chairman of Gurgaon’s Venture Hospital and Heart Institute The task force comprises Naresh Trehan. There will be two members from the government and the cabinet secretary will be the task force convener.
